How does it work?
You wear each set of aligners for about 2-3 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position Dr. Pellegrini has prescribed. You'll visit us about once every 4-8 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages from 6-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 10 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.
Can teens wear aligners?
Aligners are a great option for teens with minor to moderate corrections. Because aligners work best the more the patient wears them, you and/or your teen will need to determine if aligners are the right option for you. At your initial consultation, Dr. Pellegrini will discuss the various options available to you and together you will determine the best route to take.
